Grounding Space Therapy

  • We value inclusivity...

by committing to hold a space that is safe for LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, neurodivergent, and other historically marginalized folks.

  • We value equality...

by challenging our own and each other’s biases, showing respect to all, and advocating for - and amplifying the voices of - others.

  • We value community...

by inviting in and collaborating with others, supporting a feeling of belonging, and contributing directly to the communities we serve and exist within.

  • We value humility...

by acknowledging we don’t - and won’t ever - know everything. We’re committed to continued learning and growth and acknowledging the gaps in our knowledge.

  • We value repair...

by acknowledging when we mess up, engaging in reparative steps, and remaining open to being called out when needed.

  • We value care...

by holding intentional space for you to show up as your full, complex self and truly meaning it when we ask “How are you?”

  • We value sharing...

by grounding into abundance and sharing our individual and collective knowledge, resources, access, and energy with others.

Grounding, therapeutically, is a process of quieting your mind through purposeful action.

When trying to decide how to name this practice and essentially embody the work that we choose to do with clients in a few words, I kept coming back to the idea of grounding. I explored metaphors for this, imagery, and philosophical iterations before coming back around again and again to the simplicity of grounding and the complexity in doing this work.

Grounding Space Therapy has been founded to provide a safe space for finding your grounding so you have a solid place from which to grow and create the change you want to see in your life and relationships. This is a flexible, creative space to explore who you are, how your relationships impact you, and to find your grounding for growth.
